Charting for Mobile? Use this font
A great lesson in adding value - not just features
A great lesson in adding value - not just featuresI'm a almost fanatic Evernote user. Since I decided that all my notes are going into one place - and one place only - I actually find stuff.Apart from that I can only highly recommend a companion app from Evernote - Evernote Food.I'm a foodie and I love talking about my meals with friends and my partner. With this I can also show them the meals. I can take pictures, add a place and go back later to get inspired or just to remember things like: Where did we go to eat on our last anniversary. The new Version adds even more layers like recipe exploration and the automated recipe collection from your Evernote Account. Exactly - you don't have to go through your library and tag the old notes - they find out for you. What a great function. Isn't that great - and by the way - you don't have to go Premium to use this companion apps like other services do.So go ahead and start collecting great food. #app #evernote #functionality Link: http://blog.evernote.com/2013/04/29/evernote-food-2-0-for-android-is-here/
Brrr - these font might just be the coolness you are looking for
Fonts always have an implied use case ... as designers we should honor that and use fonts that help the messge of our design. So, use this font to add some coolness.

Mashable new design includes selctive Sharing
Mashable launched today it's redesigned website. The one thing that captured my eye the most was actually how they implemented sharing. Not only do they have the classical sharing counts and buttons for the page, but also for quotes and images. Great idea, since we always want to just share a bit of the content or maybe a image etc. Well done.
Great way to present case studies and benefits
All Webstandards in one place
A couple of big players in the web space finally put their head together and collected all the web standards on one website. Easier to read than the w3c website (which is also part) and I hope that this will help to lower the prefix jungle.#webstandards #html5 #css

Teardown reveals Android smartphone inside Entertainment Weekly's print ad The latest print edition of Entertainment Weekly includes an interactive ad for the CW network, replete with an embedded LCD that displays live tweets and video. Turns out, there's a smartphone inside, too. Mashable this week conducted a thorough teardown of the ad to uncover a dated, yet fully functional 3G handset nestled between two thick pages. The extraction, detailed in the video below, revealed all of the phone's basic components: a standa...

Google brings handwriting to the mobile web search
I used the Google Gesture App a little bit and liked it, but I found it tedious to go into an app to do the searching. Google know has brought this feature to the mobile web on their search page. Way cool. #google #search #html5 #mobile

Google likes Responsive Design as well
Actually they recommend to use a responsive approach to have the least hassle with Google. Now there are many reasons for choosing a responsive approach or not, but most websites I encounter are well suited to serve the same content to all visitors. I'm sure that Google sees even more websites (most of the ones that exist on the open internet) and their support of the responsive approach might just suggest that it's a winning strategy.
Also optimizing a responsive website to load quickly even over a wireless network helps your website on Google, since Google likes speed, and quick loading websites.

Retina Images for you website, 3 solutions - 1 Problem
You might consider upgrading your current graphics of your website for retina displays. Here are 3 solutions to do it in a very simple way ... but wait before you re-export all your images at a higher resolution. The new iPad and the iPhone 4S might not display the image at it's full size - if it is too big it will downsize it, making your efforts in creating a high res web experience a fail.
For more info read the following blog post, 5by5 Hypercritical Podcast and the specification from Apple of the mobile Safari webbrowser.

Google Currents available outside of USA - finally
We all hoped that Currents is the Flipboard for Android, and it wasn't, but more importantly it wasn't available internationally and lacking content. Maybe with the increased user base it will get better, and if you are interested in reading what I share on Currents just follow this link:
