Google shows their facts and benefits in a positive in playful fashion, not forgetting to include case studies.
The times of scratch and sniff are over - now you can touch and swipe.
Google will stop serving Ads in RSS Feeds - that doesn't sound bad, but it means that they think that RSS as a consumption medium is no longer relevant.
Twitter is closing down it's API. I can see how the ambitions can drive you to become more than just the infrastructure - but there lies also the trap.

I used the Google Gesture App a little bit and liked it, but I found it tedious to go into an app to do the searching. Google know has brought this feature to the mobile web on their search page. Way cool.

This is an important step - and the right strategy. To open it just for selected third party tools will help to save Google+ from becoming the automatic update dump that Twitter has become.
While I think that businesses are going to skip Windows 8, I don't think that Metro will be going away. I would even say that the desktop will be gone completely in Windows 9 and that businesses will love it.

There are plenty of good resources out there explaining what git (and mercurial and svn) can do for developers, but until now the learning wasn't that fun. Not anymore, since GitHub has released their new 15 Minute tryGit interactive lessons.

To know where your customers/users are coming from will help to market the apps better, especially in the crowded app stores.

Microsoft launched a new automation Android App with it's web counterpart. Think of it as a IFTTT, Locale or Tasker on Steroids.

There is no official backup solution. At least now with IFTTT you can automatically create a backup while you are creating new bitmarks.

Yes, I redesigned my own website. This is the official post to tell the world. Every web project brings some new insights, but no other project then my own website brings me this kind of insight.
It took me some time to find a use for Dropbox - and yes there are plenty, but I had already similar services setup on my own, with remote access etc. So even after I started using it, I never felt that it is safe for real professional stuff. And here are the reasons why that is and how Google Drive resolves this issues.
